Los Angeles Lakers: Bronny James’ Defiant Message to Any Team Who Intends to Draft Him for Dad LeBron James

Los Angeles Lakers news: While it’s true that Bronny James may have the necessary skill set to make it in the NBA, it’s no secret that a lot of his value comes from the fact that whichever team decides to scoop him up in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft will automatically get a shot at recruiting his father, LeBron James.

Bronny is well aware of this narrative, and he’s now sent a defiant message to any team that might be looking to draft him for the sole purpose of also signing his superstar dad.

Bronny was faced with this very question during a recent interview at the NBA Draft Combine. The 19-year-old got brutally honest in his response by saying that he believes the NBA is a “serious business.” As such, he is adamant that no team would seriously consider drafting him just because of his dad. According to LeBron’s eldest son, he doesn’t believe “a GM would really allow that.”

Bronny also stated that he feels he’s put in the work and that he’s talented enough to warrant a spot on an NBA roster.

Bronny has already made it abundantly clear that his dream to play in the NBA takes a front seat over any willingness to suit up alongside his father. LeBron’s own stance has softened of late, and it now appears that the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has come to terms with the possibility of not being able to live out his own dream of playing with his son in the NBA before he retires.
